Who Has the Fastest Blade in the West (North, South and East)?

I am in the market for a new food processor. When we went to the State Fair, I had an opportunity to try smoothies prepared with a Vita-Mix. It has enough accessories to satisfy the gadget geek in me. But, there is Kitchen Aid. I see it on the shelves of my local stores. What to choose? Maybe you are looking, too.
