Vegetables that can help me lose weight
Let's take a look at the selection of vegetables we have here. I hope you will be happy with our vegetables recipe for your losing weight success! Every one of the vegetable listed here are really healthy and offers varying degree of benefit towards losing weight:
Asparagus:

Asparagus is rich in Vitamin C, K and folate. It also contains a chemical known as asparagine. This is an alkaloid that stimulates the kidneys and improves the circulatory process. These alkaloids directly effect the cells and break down fat. It also contains a chemical that helps to remove waste from the body by breaking up the oxalic acid, this acid tends to glue fat to cells, so by breaking the acid up, it helps to reduce fat levels.
Broccoli:

Broccoli is high in Vitamins A and C, which are considered antioxidant vitamins. It also contains chromium which is an essential trace mineral that the body needs to metabolize carbohydrates, fats and proteins. Broccoli converts to glucose slowly and this slows down the release of insulin in our body. Insulin stimulates an enzyme called lipoprotein lipase and lipoprotein lipase stimulates your body to store fat. Thus, controlling the release of insulin in our body is important for achieving our weight loss goal.
Carrots:

Carrots contain a very high amount of Vitamin A and an uncommon amount of beta-carotene which can help to prevent cancer. Carrots also has soluble fiber which may help with lowering blood-cholesterol levels by binding with and eliminating bile acids, triggering choleresterol to be drawn out of the bloodstream. Carrots can also be used as a fat substitute for thickening your soup and sauces.
Cabbage:

Cabbage offers a good source of Vitamin C, potassium and other minerals, and has the fewest calories and least fat of any vegetable. It cleanses your body of waste matter because it contains sulphur and iodine, which helps to cleanse the mucous membrane of the stomach and intestines. Cabbage is a great food if you should have a pot belly or a middle age spread. It will help to break up the fat in this area.
Cauliflower:

Cauliflower has no fat, is rich in Vitamin C, has dietary fiber and folic acid. It is crunchy and low in calories, thus it can easily be eaten as a low-carb snack anytime, raw or cooked. Cauliflower takes a longer time to chew and this gives your body more time to feel full and controls the amount of food you could have ended up eating.
Celery:

Celery is well known as a wonder food with it's high dietary fiber, Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Vitamin K, Folate, Potassium, calcium and several other nutrients.
Celery is one of those "negative-calories" food, which means that the food provides fewer calories than we expend in consuming it. Extra calories from other food will end up stored as fat in our body, thus eating a "negative-calories" food like celery is ideal for reducing body fat and for losing weight.
Cucumber:

The cucumber has great antioxidant properties, being very rich in both Vitamins C and A. It also offers manganese, potassium, tryptophan, molybdenum and a good deal of fiber when consumed. The cucumber is also well known for it's weight loss characteristic, being a diuretic as well. A diuretic is a chemical (or drug) which encourages the removal of excess fluids in our body. A diuretic is also capable of breaking down fat into small pieces and then remove these broken down fats with the excess fluids from our body.
Spinach:

Spinach is widely regarded as a "super" food, with it's excellent nutritional content such as Vitamin A/C/E/K, fiber, calcium, iron, folate and magnesium. Spinach is also a great source of lutein and zeaxanthin, two carotenoid phytonutrients that are important for healthy eyes. Spinach has thylakoids which are a mixture of proteins that slows down the digestion of fats. Thus, we get the feeling of being full and this keeps us satisfied enough to prevent eating too much.

Fruits that can help me lose weight
Grapefruit:

Grapefruit has high fiber content and researchers have also confirmed that grapefruit may help prevent weight gain by lowering insulin levels, similar to how eating broccoli can make us feel full and curb overeating. One secret to being successful in weight loss is to eat foods that can make us feel full and yet doesn't result in us consuming too much calories. The grapefruit is one such food.
Grapefruit is also very low in Saturated Fat, Cholesterol and Sodium. It is also a good source of Dietary Fiber, Vitamin A and Potassium, and a very good source of Vitamin C.
Apricot:

The fruit apricot is rich in Vitamins A and C, calcium, phosphorous and iron. It also has an extremely high content of vitamin B17 which is known as Laetrile. Daily consumption of this seed is claimed to be highly effective in preventing cancer. For weight loss, apricot generates the same "feel-full" effect like grapefruit with it's high fiber content, slowing down the release of your stomach's contents.
Blackberries:

Blackberry is a very tasty fruit and has high nutrition value. It is rich in Vitamins A/C/E/K, dietary fiber, folate. It is also rich in antioxidants to help in fighting free radicals and thus, avoid various types of cancer. Blackberries also contains pectin which dissolves in water and form gels that tie up blood sugar and cholesterol. This keeps blood sugar level low. Being high in dietary fiber and relatively low in sugar and packed with nutrients, blackberries are a good fruit for your weight-loss campaign.
Guava:

Guava has a rich source of dietary fiber and is useful to promote digestion and bowel movements. It is also an excellent source of Vitamins A/B/C, calcium and potassium. With rich nutrients, proteins, vitamins and lacking cholesterol, eating guava can better satisfy one's appetite so that you don't feel hungry that easily. A rich source of dietary fiber will also increase our chewing time so we don't eat too fast and too much.
Lemon:

Lemon is rich in Vitamin C and is one of the most alkaline foods out there, helping to restore balance to our acidic diet. It also has very good amount of copper, magnesium, iron, potassium and calcium. Lemon with water is a very natural weight loss option to add to our dieting plan as it has low calories, has lots of nutrients and vitamins, and increases our body's metabolism. Lemon also helps to detox our bodily organs, such as our liver. Our liver has an important role to metabolize fats and it won't be able to do a good job if it's filled with toxins. Thus, the detox capabilities of the lemon helps in our weight loss plan. It's also cheaper then drinking diet sodas and easy to make!
Watermelon:

Watermelon is almost everyone's favourite fruit, it's juicy and quench our thirst. It's delicious and everyone can eat it daily! As it is also very sweet, it can serve as a good substitute food for other sweet stuff such as sugar, syrup or honey which serves up a few calories. Watermelon is cholesterol free and has almost no fat. For weight loss, eating watermelon fills you up easily so you would not be tempted to eat more. It's also highly nutritious with Vitamin A/B/C, potassium, magnesium and beta-carotene. Researchers believe that beta-carotene and Vitamin C together are capable of preventing cancer and reducing heart-disease by getting rid of harmful molecules which causes damage to our body.

Let's find out everyone's opinion about the weight loss benefit of raw honey. Raw honey is honey that is unprocessed, natural and unfiltered.
Will eating raw honey help with weight loss?
Fetching blurbs now... please stand byYes it will!
Nah it will not help.
ernic says:
Not really. It is a sugar, which is a carbohydrate with a reasonably high GI level and will still trigger an insulin reaction which blocks the cells ability to release fats. It is not the calorie level nor the food type that has a detrimental effect on weight lose, but the insulin impact that a sudden sugar release has. This in turn resist the cells ability to release and use body fat.

Let me start the duel rolling! I'm not that convince about the weight loss benefit of raw honey barring the fact that it might distract you from eating sweeter stuff.
