Long before, many  people were utilizing foods for medicinal purposes, treating infections and preventing diseases.  The Chinese have used foods for medicinal treatments for thousands of years. 

Many doctors and nutritionists have researched and written about the benefits our foods in healing, however many of us still don't embrace the research and still have health problems.

We have to come back to our sources and start eating the foods that will heal our bodies. The sad thing is that we have all the knowledge necessary to improve our health and we are getting sicker everyday.  We are suffering more and more from bad eating habits, overweight children and adults and sickness. 

I have spend the last few years researching the foods that heal, and I am finally ready to share my findings with you.

Apricot

This fruit is very tasty and nutritious. It is easily digestible when eaten riped. It contains beta-carotene that gives it's nice color. Beta-carotene found in many foods is an antioxidant and great for the immune system. The apricot is also rich in potassium.

Artichoke

Artichoke helps digestion and reduce the amount of sugar in the blood. It is a great source of fiber. Are you pregnant? Well this little vegetable has folic acid - a nutrient that is particularly useful for pregnant women. Artichoke also contains magnesium and potassium.

Asparagus

One of the first vegetable to come out of the groud in spring, a great gourmet food. Very few calories but very nutritious. Asparagus contain carotene, vitamin b,c,e. This vegetable has demonstrated to protect cardiovascular diseases.
