FOODS THAT ARE PROSTATE HEALTHY

If you are concerned about prostate cancer, you may be interested in foods that my reduce or prevent prostate problems. There is no clear way to prevent prostate cancer, but there are studies that have suggested evidience that certain foods and a healthy overall diet may reduce your risk of prostate cancer.
A test called PSA, which stands for prostate specific antigen show a protein that is produced by the prostate. It gives the doctors an indication whether there might be a problem with your prostate.
My husband recently had a PSA of 5.4 , that caused his doctor concern. He was referred to a urologist and he scheduled him for a biopsy. In the meantime while waiting for him to have the procedure, I put him on a diet with these certain foods, and also on a micro-biotic diet, that meant no meat and no dairy. Right before the biopsy I asked the doctor to do another PSA, and it was then down to 4.1.
Now I suppose it is up to each individual to see whether they feel that it was my diet that helped his PSA , or it just went down by itself or for oher reasons.
But I believe in it and that is why I am writing this lens, and he will continue to eat this diet. The doctor said he was impressed and had heard studies done on the foods I mentioned.
So I suppose it is up to each individual to make his own choice. But I am now sharing this information with you.

Not only is it a summer time favorite but it contains lycopene, which promotes proper prostrate functon and has been shown to relax blood vessels and improve blood flow to the organs.

Grapefruit

Fruit intake is also associated with reduced cancer risk and may reuce symtoms of inflammation and infection.
Grapefruit is one fruit that is recommended.

Dark leafy greens can reduce the risk of enlarged prostrates.

The results of several cohert studies suggest that lycopene rich diets are associated with significant reductions in therisk of prostrate concer, particularly the more agressive forms.
