Antioxidant Foods

Are antioxidants good for your skin?

I will tell you how antioxidants work and how they affect our skin.
Antioxidants contain vitamin c which helps the body to make collagen. You can say that collagen is a sort of glue which keeps the different parts of the body together and strengthens them. It is the collagen which keeps our skin elastic and look younger.

There are other antioxidants which help the skin in strengthening the tissue.
Actually even a glass of red wine contains a lot of antioxidants which can help you to keep your skin younger. As a matter of fact, I myself take antioxidants which have red wine extract and it has done wonders to my skin and overall health.

Antioxidants and eye sight.

In case of eyesight, antioxidants are more of a preventive measure. What I mean is that taking antioxidants regularly will keep your eyesight healthy, but if you have already got bad eyesight then antioxidants aren't going to help you.

Role of Antioxidants in eye sight
Antioxidants are said to protect the retina which is a metabolically active tissue which generates free radicals. What antioxidants do is to neutralize these free radicals and thus protects the eye from damage.
