Foot Warts - Those Darn Things
Do you realise that foot warts, officially called "plantar warts", are a very common sight, and a common skin infection? This makes treatment much easier because the infection has been researched thoroughly. There are tons of different cures to get rid of your foot warts, some are chemical, some are pure nature solutions. Whatever cure you pick make sure you do some research on the cure itself. "Natural cure" might sound nice and friendly, but does it work as efficiently as more medical solutions?
More about foot warts
As mentioned above, warts on the foot or toes, are very common. This is due to the surface contact your feet make every day. Public bathhouses/pools are one of the most fertile grounds for wart infections to spread. This is why it's a bad idea to walk around public areas on bare feet. Sure it feels nice to walk around bare-footed, but those wart infections are around every corner and they love taking advantage of the situation.
As someone who has had a wart on his big toe I must stress that it ain't a nice feeling. You'll be walking funny until that awful wart is gone. The thing is with foot warts is that they heal slowly because of the awkward position. Every time your body tries to heal the wart and surrounding skin your walking around puts pressure on the wart, making the healing process last much longer.
What basically happens during a wart infection is the transmission of a virus to your skin that disrupts normal skin cell growth (it actually increases cell growth). Small openings in your skin allow the virus to transport itself to other areas easily. So it is important to fight the infection as soon as it is detected! Hence walking around bare-footed on surfaces that other people walk on as well, with cuts or wounds on your feet, is asking for double the trouble. Do note that plantar warts (foot warts) are not dangerous. They are basically harmless, but unwanted, painful inhabitants of your skin.
If you want to get rid of your wart(s) quickly you might want to cell your doctor and make an appointment. They have the cool tools to get rid of those warts quite easily. They usually freeze them, then put a bandage on your wart, and after a week or so the wart will fall off. This usually does the job. Though some people have experienced a return of warts(s) in the same areas. Perhaps your body isn't healthy enough to fight off infections? Keeping your body healthy is very important in preventing infections in general.
