Football helps Unite Our World

Football or Soccer if you prefer is the most widely viewed spectator sport in the world.

The sport of Football is played in more countries than any other. It is the national No. 1 sport in more countries than any other. It has the power to bring communities and nations together. Sometimes Football can equally divide a community (especially where there are rival teams in the same city). This is mainly due to local rivalry

There is much excitement and passion especially in the big games. It's amazing how many supporters of a team can have a virtual 'life dependency' based on the football team's performance. Many people's lives revolve around the team's weekly results.

We all want our team to perform to the very best of their ability. When they're winning and on good form everything in life is going great. The team's success can help make up for some of Life's other challenges. When our team perform badly and loose form life can be 'depressing and everything can seem like 'doom and gloom'.

Going to a big game like an international match, or an important league or cup game can be a very festive and joyful occasion. When there is good, natured rival banter between supporters it makes you feel really great and helps enhance the atmosphere. Rivalry is only good when it's positive.

On of the greatest aspects of Football is the support of a team's fans. They are the lifeblood of any club. Their passion, their 'never say die' spirit is really impressive. Passionate singing from thousands of a club's supporters can really make a tremendous difference in the result of a match. The vocal support can act as a 12th man.

Football helps Unite Our World Continued

This year in 2010 we had the World Cup being played in South Africa. It was the dawning of a new day with the world's leading No. 1 global tournament. It is the first time the tournament was held on the Continent of Africa. For the most part the World Cup was a great success in South Africa. This great event truly united a Continent.

Support your local team wherever they are, support with pride and dignity. Always be passionate and true to your team despite all the challenges with their performances and results. Be equally supportive of You as you're the best team you'll ever have!

Have a great, winning day
