Golf ! Golf! Golf!

Now that winter is slowly heading out and spring is quietly knocking on our door, there is one breed of humans that's biting at the bit to get out and play. They're called golfers! As soon as we get a few warm days you see them outside cleaning their golf clubs, taking the ever-promising golf swings in their front yard and making sure their Sky Caddies are fully charged. There are a few men I know that I think it would actually send them over the edge if we get another snowfall! I'm hoping and praying to Mother Nature that for their sake (and sanity) we don't.

Golf: Love it or Hate it

Now of course if you live in the Southern or Western part of the United States, you're one of the lucky ones who can golf every day of the year. But it's a whole different ballgame if you live in the Midwest or Eastern parts. They only have April thru October to get in enough rounds of golf to get them through the long winter months. April comes around and they get out on that golf course for the first time since hibernating for winter and they suddenly feel alive again!

Golf, you either love it or hate it there's no in between. My father is one of the lovers of golf and has been since I can remember. My mother never got into it, but did give it a try for my dad's sake. That lasted a whole four holes and she's never picked up a golf club since (which is probably safer that way, at least for anybody within ear shot). Well they decided to go their separate ways, as far as hobbies that is, and mom took up a sport that was a little more her speed, gardening.

Looks Matter

What you wear is important

A person's attire is just one of many important aspects in the game of golf. What you wear is important not only in how you play the game but how you "look" playing the game. You never know when the fashion police will be watching! Between men and women golfers you have pants, knickers, shorts, skirts, skorts, shirts, vests, sweaters, outerwear, hats, shoes, gloves, umbrellas and bags. Wow I can't even imagine having to pack for a golf get-a-way weekend!

One of the brand names you see a lot while out on the golf course is Nike. Tiger Woods has made Nike apparel and accessories a household name in the golfing world. Dri-FIT and Sphere Dry are commonly seen on Nike tags and for golf apparel they're important words. Dri-FIT helps keep you comfortable and dry by moving perspiration from your skin to the outside of the garment; and Sphere Dry technology utilizes a three-dimensional construction to help keep you dry and reduce cling from perspiration. There's nothing worse than trying to play 18 holes of golf sweating up a storm and having your shirt clinging to you. Plus as far as fashion goes, it's not very becoming.

I know my dad has a Nike golf shirt in just about every color, shape and size. In the golfing world I'm pretty sure that if it's good enough for Tiger Woods, it's good enough for anybody!

No Shirt No Shoes No Golf

This just isn't right. Fashion matters in the game of golf.

I guess John Daly was absent the day they taught fashion in school. Don't you think a decent golf shirt would make a world of difference? Come on John, you're better than this.
