Want to Learn a Foreign Language?

I have a strong interest in language, and I love learning how to communicate with people from all parts of the world. Being able to do so is a form of power. So many doors are opened when one studies a language, and the list of benefits for doing so is practically endless.

Why I Study Language

The reasons why I study foreign languages

As I said in the introduction, the benefits for learning another language are infinite. For me, the opportunity to have access to an even greater amount of knowledge and information is too tempting. Take a look, for example, at the Spanish language. Spanish is spoken by over a billion people worldwide. That's more than 15% of Earth's population, and a lot of people to talk to.

Learning a foreign language gives me the power and ability to speak with each and every one of these people, to learn their knowledge and take part in their culture and traditions.

The world is a global environment, a global economy, and a global community. Learning a foreign language allows me to become a global citizen of a global world.

America is Becoming a Global America

Learn a foreign language now!

The United States is no longer a nation of one language. Spanish is rapidly becoming a part of the nation, and it won't be long before it is necessary to learn Spanish in order to live a daily life. The same is true with other languages. Whether the citizens of America like it or not, the country is becoming a global America; a nation of many peoples and languages.

This change is even happening right now. In areas of high Spanish-speaking populations, such as Los Angeles and Miami, it is required for job-seekers to speak Spanish. It won't be too long before this same need creeps upward into the rest of the nation.

I think learning a foreign language has become very important nowadays and those that refuse to learn a language other than english are stuck in the fifties, Besides, when you learn languages as a youngster you never know when you might need them in the future

Hello, languages interest me too. Recently I read Daniel Tammet's book 'Born on a Blue Day". Among his bio. musings he speaks about his language learning methods, the courses he offers, and the way he has learned, a very different way, to become fluent in the new languages. Very worth while to investigate on his site. Rosetta Stone scripts would be a different matter. Cheers. Jakoba
