Computer Forensics

The goal of computer forensics is to conduct an investigation and digital analysis to identify and preserve evidence which could be used in a court of law to prosecute an offender. Preserving the chain of evidence and ensuring that it can be used is critical. This of course assumes that the organization has a policy to prosecute those who violate laws or company policies.
