  • EditionH Jan 18, 2012 @ 1:42 am | delete
I want to say thank you to all the visitiors for their interest and their wonderful comments.
I really did not expect that this humble project would be appreciated that much and that it would resonate with many others at all. That adds quite a lot to the treasure this book has been for me.
  • Tipi Jan 17, 2012 @ 4:02 pm | delete
This is a joy in every way, I love the idea of a nature diary sketchbook and of course you have taken it beyond wonderful as you include the story behind each picture next to it, inviting all on your experience. Sadly, some of your images are missing today from November 2010 down, hopefully they'll come right back when you save the modules again. Savor-ingly blessed!
  • EditionH Jan 18, 2012 @ 1:44 am | delete
Hello Tipi, thank you for your visit and your blessing. I checked on the images this morning and they seem ok. Perhaps it was a temporary glitch on my Picasa Album or on the connection with Squidoo.
  • Amy Jan 16, 2012 @ 11:50 am | delete

I so admire your ability to sketch from nature in all types of weather. Truly you have the love of nature and art captured so well in this journal of beautifully artistic pictures and words. You capture the atmosphere for the rest of us to appreciate ... the colors, sounds and nature of each season remind me of Thoreau's time at Walden.

  • tvyps Dec 26, 2011 @ 4:38 pm | delete
This is great! I am a big fan of Plein Air! You are quite an artist. My mother, who was an art teacher, was very "tight" in her paintings. I remember once when she was in college, that her art instructor took her watercolor and ran it under the water in the sink to loosen it up. Squid Angel blessed!
  • jimmyworldstar Dec 26, 2011 @ 4:20 pm | delete
Your watercolors are beautiful. You paint a great representation without it being exact and still manage to use different shades to make it vibrant.

So do I wish I lived where there was rainfall to support woods? I'm grateful some people who live in such climes share their experience of the kind of living communities they host. I wonder what I could do to return the favor.
  • joan bouchard Jul 21, 2011 @ 9:25 pm | delete

I read about you in WordCustard's article today at blog.growwear and I am so glad I clicked on the link she gave! This is one of the most beautiful lenses I have ever seen. You are extremely talented, I am blown away with how wonderful this lens is!
  • WordCustard Apr 20, 2010 @ 8:53 am | delete
This is very inspirational. It was a true delight to have an insight into the world of an artist, and also to experience with you the colours, sights and sounds of a peaceful forest setting. I have always been fascinated by colour and enjoyed the variety you captured between your pages (40 shades of green in May!). Leaving an *~*~ Angel Blessing ~*~* for this unique work of art, which has been so lovingly presented here for us.
  • EditionH Apr 20, 2010 @ 11:54 am | delete
Dear Veronica, thank you very much for your blessing, which is always nice to have.
Many more thanks for your time spent with reading and letting me know about the spelling mistakes and poor grammar in one of my favorite lenses!
  • WordCustard Apr 20, 2010 @ 3:35 pm | delete
Only a few... in an otherwise exceptional lens! As a non-native speaker of English, you write our language beautifully.
