We're frequent kissers of Frogdogs! (French Bulldogs!)

Well, one FrogDog! Her name is Dax and she's five years old, training in Obedience and Agility and a snorting, snuffling source of joy!

According to the American Kennel Club "The French Bulldog has the appearance of an active, intelligent, muscular dog of heavy bone, smooth coat, compactly built, and of medium or small structure. Expression alert, curious, and interested...Well behaved, adaptable, and comfortable companions with an affectionate nature and even disposition; generally active, alert, and playful, but not unduly boisterous."

It doesn't mention silly, adorable, bouncing bowling-balls of fun. But they are.

Step-in Harnesses from Yellow Dog Design

Yellow Dog Design is known for practical dog accessories with splashy designs. These Step-in Harnesses are just that! The harnesses are well-made, sturdy and comfortable for our French Bulldogs as well as fun and affordable!

You won't find these designs in any other collection - they're unique and copyrighted. These great harnesses are made in the USA. They're colorfast polyester and are machine washable! And all the straps are adjustable.

Tug it!

One of Dax's favorites at playtime is her Timberwolf Rope Toys! Some of these toys are great for tugging, others are great for fetching, but they're all loads of fun! The ropes are great for flossing their teeth and at just 3/8 inch in diameter, they're the perfect size for a great game of tug! Many have 1 3/4 inch diameter rubber balls that our little dogs can sqeeze, others have fun rubber "gears" that are 1 3/4 inches in diameter. The gears have little nubs that clean teeth and massage gums. These toys are made in the USA.

So comfy!

The Kot-to-Trot is a great way for your dogs to have a big bed, stay off the wet grass and be shaded from the sun. As you can see, all our dogs fit comfortably on the Kot-to-Trot with room to spare! (The bed holds up to 120 pounds.) Dax, our Frenchie, hates the wet grass and she was first to jump up. In case you're interested, that's Ceilidh (Boston Terrier) on the left, then Dax, then Roc and Golly (Brussels Griffons). The canvas bed is about 6 inches off the ground.

The Kot-to-Trot is easy to set up - I did it myself in under a minute even with Dax jumping onto the bed before it was even unfolded! You can use the canopy or not. There are even velcro strips to hold the canopy in place when it's windy.

Out for a walk - with a Twist Lead!

When you want a collar and leash that are super-easy to put on and get off your little dog, is light-weight but feels substantial, you'll choose the Twist Slip Lead every time. It's a collar and leash combined made by Mendota Products, known for their quality and reliability.

For a chilly day

There's nothing better on a cool day than a sweatshirt, and that's true for our little dogs, too! These great hooded sweatshirts are cozy, machine washable polar fleece, and sleeveless so movement is not impeded. There's even a slit for the collar ring!

Everyday comfort

The Step-in Harness by Timberwolf is a great basic for our little dogs. It's easy to put on and easy to take off! It's made of high-quality 64 carrier flat braided nylon so it's extremely durable and comfortable.

Everything is adjustable on the Timberwolf Step-in Harness! Not only are the side straps adjustable, but so is the connecting chest strap. The Timberwolf Step-in Harness will adjust for the perfect fit - even for our broadest-chested Frenchies! And, the clasp is curved to follow the contour of your dog's back.

Bow Wow Beanies!

We've been carrying stuffed animals (yes, The Beanie Babies Collection as well as other plush toys) made by Ty for years, so we were really excited to learn about Ty's Bow Wow Beanies made especially for dogs. There is no better quality of stuffed animal than those made by Ty. Bow Wow Beanies are equally well made. They hold up under the fiercest play. And, they crinkle and squeak! How much fun is that?! There are no beans in these Beanies, so no worries about little plastic pellets all over the house! And the features are sewn, not plastic. (As with any toy, their use should be supervised.)

We get so many Frenchie Kisses from our frog dogs that I named my Kennel Frenchie Kisses Kennel. They are the most affectionate dogs I have ever had the pleasure to own or be owned by (these little guys have stolen my heart.) I even have one that loves Peaches and will dance to get a bite. She will be our new Dam for next fall. Her name is "Sugar" ( our Brindle puppy) and she is just as sweet as her name implies. Her mate will be "Special Agent Gibbs" ( Our new Fawn/black muzzled puppy.) He is a comic and dances all the time for no purpose at all just because he is happy.

Our Kennel started off with Abigail (a beautiful brindle female) and Buster ( a cream/fawn male) Sugars mom and dad. They are an exception to the breed and were able to breed naturally instead of being artificially inseminated. Even better, Abigail had a natural whelping instead of the expected c-section. This too is the exception to the rule with French Bulldogs. View our website at http://frenchiekisseskennel.com

Me and my Frenchie!

Dax does agility #6 - Our first Qualifying run!

We did it! A perfect score, first place, and minimal sniffing! The cheers in the background are members of our All Fourst Agility team (www.chicagoagility.com) who stayed 'til the bitter end of the trial to watch and support us in Novice.
