What We Should All Know About The Forgotten Laws Of Attraction
A few years back I remember being asked if I had seen The Secret. I must have been one of the last people on earth to have been introduced to it because once I had been made aware of it I found it everywhere: in bookshops; on the net; as a book; as a talking book; as a DVD! There were courses, seminars, forums, self-help groups and a whole host of add on products that went hand in hand with the knew technologies explaining how you can bring good things - no, make that great things - into your life by having the right intentions. To the uninitiated (those not actively taking part in any form of self-help or spiritual awareness program) I imagined this would all seem a bit far fetched and unattainable. On the contrary, and much to my surprise, I found that almost without exception people were embracing this account of a powerful spiritual force for good. It presented as a powerful and complete spiritual toolkit to help you achieve new levels of abundance and success in your life. New information about the laws of attraction sheds light on how The Secret is only part of the story.
What's Been Forgotten About The Laws Of Attraction
There's an awful lot in The Secret about the power of intention. It's true that this is one of the most powerful resources we have in our lives. If you delve into any spiritual readings at all it's also one of the most fundamental spiritual laws that can be used with affirmations and Yoga as a very potent way of focusing your goals. But just as Yoga is all about a lifestyle choice rather than one particular focus or goal such as toning your muscles, the essence of the forgotten laws contains several principles that remind us of the other essential aspects of life which, just like Yoga, create a much more spiritual existence. There are many examples of these extra forgotten elements but one of the main ones concerns a subject which, perhaps, highlights a fundamental spiritual core value, dear to the heart of spirituality: forgiveness.

The Forgotten Laws and Forgiveness
Authors such as Caroline Myss and religious icons such as the Buddha constantly remind us how important forgiveness is to leading a happy and healthy life. How can we promote an existence where forgiveness becomes a constant habit in our lives? There are some simple things we can do to ensure that we follow this path. If we feel good then it's easier to feel forgiving and compassionate towards others. We need to develop lifestyle habits that help to make the forgotten laws an integrated part of our lives. One daily activity we undertake that is unavoidable and integral to how we feel is what we eat. Make your diet a nutritious part of your life, eating foods that build you up rather than make you sluggish, and you will start to crave the things that are good for you. If you start exercising either by doing Yoga or even some other form of exercise such as a healthy dance routine then you'll start to become more aware of your body and feel a sense of joy in your existence. Forgiveness is A Gift from the Forgotten Laws
Forgiveness certainly is a gift from the forgotten laws and we need to find ways of practicing forgiveness to the extreme. I remember attending a Tony Robbins seminar once where he surprised all the attendees by saying that it's easy to be spiritual by following your own isolated path. The complications come when you have to relate to other people and we only grow by these connections. It follows that we need to be with other people in order to practice forgiveness. It also helps to be with people who are like minded and want to develop their own spiritual discoveries. Imagine how inspiring it is to be surrounded by people who are all learning the methods of The Power of Now or attempting to develop their lives with The Anatomy of the Spirit. Wouldn't that be fantastic? In order to achieve that you need to be aware of the people who surround you: in other words you need to be aware of your peer group. Try to surround yourself with like minded people who are positive and you'll be amazed at how this will transform your attitude to life. Also find role models to live up to and stop settling into the comfort of excelling in a small pool.

Working With the Forgotten Laws
Remember that this is only possible with an open mind. We need to think about what we are doing. Thinking is another element so important in the forgotten laws and one of the most important things we need to think about is accepting certain things in our lives. There are things we can change and there are others we cannot. Of course we're going to find ourselves in situations where our peers aren't exactly what we need in our lives. If that's a social group you meet in a bar or at a club then you have the power to seek out other more appropriate social groups that fit your needs. If it's work colleagues then, unless you can get yourself a transfer, you're going to need to work with the situation, practise forgiveness as much as you can if you find yourself getting irritated and accept that you can't change it. Take it as an opportunity to grow. At the end of the day you have to realise that the situation, even if it isn't serving your needs directly, is allowing to reach your end goal. Practice, Practice, Practice the Forgotten Laws
As with everything, you need to make this a habit for it to be effective. Habits are only a mental attitude when all is said and done. Hence if you want to use the forgotten laws you'll need to change your mental attitude. This can be done with some form of subliminal messaging software or it can be done with combining vigorous exercise with some form of pleasurable activity such as a dance workout but either way, it will take heaps of practice and dedication. If you're thinking this seems like a lot of work right now then just consider this for any aspect of your life where you need or want to make change - what will the result be of not acting? What will it cost you if you don't act? Remember: change the things within your control and this includes your mental attitude! More on the Laws of Attraction
