Do You Operate a Forklift???

Here are some man made forklift accidents I found on YouTube that are interesting, funny or downright amusing. A warehouse setting is just a disaster waiting to happen. Add a forklift and a drunk or incompetent operator and watch the domino effect. You have to wonder how much training the forklift operators get. Some of these disasters are quite spectacular. I am glad that I did not cause them or have to clean them up.

If you did not know better and just looked at the end results of a couple these videos you would think that there had been a major earthquake. In earthquake prone California, the disasters where the shelving comes crashing down would not be as great because it is required that the warehouse shelving be structurally tied to the roof and walls so that a domino effect is minimized. But then not everybody complies with the building laws.

So enjoy watching some forklift accidents.

This forklift disaster takes place in a Moscow vodka and cognac warehouse. The collapsing warehouse shelving destroyed a reported $150,000 of booze. The driver received only minor injuries. Several different sources indicate that he may have been inbiding in the warehouse product.

This article is a great reason why one should consider forklift training. There a number of safety issues via OSHA and company standards. You also increase your value to your current company along with future prospects while simultaneously increasing your potential pay. People don't understand that a forklift accident end result can ultimately mean death!!!
