Holy cow, My life is saved. I used a 4gb SD card to take pictures of a friend , i went to visit my grandparents and took AMAZING pictures of them for a class and a few days later i formatted the card thinking all the pictures i took of my friend were already on the computer. The i realized i had pictures of my grandparents and my heart just shattered. This worked perfectly! even recovered my MOV. videos!

tellar Phoenix photo recovery is brilliant! it recovered photos from a recent cruise that I thought I had lost forever after my computer hard drive crashed. The computer shop couldnt retrieve anything from the hard drive but this program recovered at least most of my recent photos from the camera SD cards - even after they had been reformatted! In fact, one of these cards had new photos taken after formatting and I still easily got back the previous cruise photos. Highly recommended. Also the manufacturer shows great faith in the product by giving us a free trial to see whatit can find, i was happy to pay once I knewit had retrived a few thousandphotos and videos for me. only a fewcents per photo togetthem back - thanks!

My camera was full of pictures of my baby, and I pressed the dreaded "Delete All" button, I panicked, but the Stellar Photo Recovery program got them all back for me. I can't say how happy I am right now.

Omg, thank you for this software, I deleted all of our Christmas pictures on my wifes new camera by accident. She was so distraught but this saved the day. I am no longer in the dog house. Definitely recommend this software to anyone stuck with a idiot that formats the SD Card by accident.

THIS PROGRAM SAVED ME FROM FAILING MY PHOTOGRAPHY COURSE.
I accidentally formatted my card after I shot business portraits for an assignment which was due this monday at 5pm. (it is sunday) There would be no possible way I could rent more equipment, get studio time, find a model, edit, print and mount the photos in time. This is my exam week and I have 10 other projects/shoots due. This program saved my life.

okay, so I'm one of the photographers for my school's yearbook. I took around 200+ photos during an event and I personally thought those were some of the best shots i've taken. But then, when I tried to upload the pictures to my teacher's desktop, my sd card somehow corrupted. I had to format it on my camera to actually take anymore pictures. Formatting means that I'd completely lost all my data. Not to mention, those were memories that were so precious. I was devastated. So I went home a friend recommended me with this program and all I can just is that I'm blown away. I think it retrieved every single picture and video! TWO THUMBS UP! :D

I just downloaded and used Stellar to recover some home videos that I deleted when I accidentally reformatted my sd card. WOW! It got EVERYTHING! I was freaking out cause these were videos of my sister's wedding and my son as the ring bearer! When I first noticed after the scan that it cost money, I tried to look for another recovery software to see what they could find. 2 of them actually, and neither of them found ANYTHING, not a single file. I can't believe the difference. I came back and purchased Stellar - it was worth every penny and a lot cheaper than most of the other file recovery software out there.
Just a tip - a lot of the files in the Stellar preview window said "Cannot find preview, file could be corrupted". Actually, most of them said that, that was the reason I tried searching for free software, but when I realized that none of them could even find a single file, I decided it was worth the price to recover at least a couple of my lost videos. Then, when I paid and started to copy the files, ALL of them copied over perfectly. I guess there just wasn't a preview or something, but the video itself was all still there. No guarantees that it will work that way for everyone, but just wanted to let people know that just because it says it "could be corrupted" doesn't necessarily mean that it is!

I am SO grateful to have found this program! It's awesome! I give it 500 stars!!

This programme is wonderful - I accidentally reformatted the SD card in my Vivitar digital camera and thought I had lost over 700 photos, includng some very special, irreplaceable ones of my father's funeral, some holiday pics and recent shots of my teenagers. Everyone told me I had lost them for good and I was so upset. I was so pleased to find Stellar which has recovered all my photos and are now stored on my laptop. Thank you a million times over for this brilliant programme.

The Stellar Phoenix Photo Recovery worked great! I accidentally formatted my Kodak Zx3 with all the videos from our week-long vacation and this software recovered them all! Totally worth $39! It scans the drive first, so you know that you have files to recover and then when you recover, you pay for the software. We tried other programs, like Pandora, that didn't work, so was very happy when this did!

I accidently formatted my canon sd600 and lost all my photos! Then I made the mistake of taking a few more pictures and then reformatted my camera. I just downloaded stellar photo recovery and I was hoping to retrieve my pictures. I've gone through all the steps, and after the scan is complete a message appears saying " no data found". Have I lost my photos for good?! Please Help!

Just finished photographing a wedding as a professional photographer.
Inserted the CF card into the card reader and saw all 400+ CR2 thumbnail images, then suddenly the computer crashed. Switched the computer back on, and my face went white with shock when I saw all the images had disappeared from the card and I thought 'what I am going to tell the new bride and groom'?
Them I remembered that I had Stellar photo recovery program installed on my computer.
But had not registered, this was simple and easy to do. After the recovery program had completed, every single CR2 file was recovered 100% including 90% of images from the previous 3 weddings was recovered that I had deleted from the card.

I have just returned from a few months travelling to find that my memory card when inserted into my computer using a memory card reader will not read the card and says it has a virus. It then suggests scanning and fixing the memory card but i am worried that by doing this i will lose my photos. When my memory card is in my camera it works fine though and i can see the photos. Can someone please tell me how and if I can retrieve my photos? Thank you

  • Liz Jun 7, 2010 @ 9:24 pm | delete
When trying to fix the setting on my camera I pushed the format button, not knowing what it did. Big mistake, I lost over 700 + pics on my SD memory card. Pictures that had not yet been developed or saved elsewhere. Which included once in a lifetime memories. Ie, my cousins wedding, Pictures of the family dog (that is no longer with us), my pregancy photos, baby shower and ALL the picture of my Son from they sec he was born till now. He's 7 weeks today. After having a emotional breakdown, I did a google search and found this website. Thankfully I did, I was able to retreive almost all of the photos. The photos are priceless but I would have paid anything to get them back.

  • ejzllanes96 Oct 10, 2010 @ 1:00 am | delete
There is a possibility that the file type of the photo is unreadable by the computer, and if it is a virus, the camera should not be able to read it either. To be sure it is a virus, install an antivirus software and scan the drive. If your using a Mac OS, I can't help.

After taking a cruise to Mexico/Roatan and a TON of pictures, a family member asked to copy my photos onto his computer. I didn't realize until after that (a) I had not copied the pictures to MY computer yet and (b) his computer was an old MACbook. As fate would have it, neither of us got my pictures, because the Mac totally reformatted the SD upon arrival. Sad day. My memory card was now completely empty. This program was a Godsent. It retrieved almost 2 gigs of, IMHO, irreplaceable pictures. I am so grateful for Stellar Phoenix Photo Recovery!!

It was the vacation to remember for so many reasons...

The night before our trip the the Florida Keys, we made sure the camera was on the charger to avoid any problems. We flew out the next morning bright and early with the camera still attached to the charger. Knowing how important this vacation was, we stopped in a Radio Shack to buy a new camera to capture the memories. On Easter, during the family dinner, I attempted to retrieve the pics for share with the family. One or two wrong buttons, and memories gone forever. I was sick. One Google search later and a very nominal charge, I can now share those precious photos with friends and family. Thank you for saving my sanity.

Tonight I had an extra special photo shoot with a little one who was recently diagnosed with brain cancer. When I got home, one of my CF cards was blank! AHHHH! No RAW Images....nothing! I had just looked at them 30 minutes before when we were leaving the session. The images on there were literally irreplaceable due to this little one's health and the fact that we would not be able to re-shoot the session. Thanks to Stellar Photo Recovery, they are all back!! I cannot tell you how super excited it am right now!!! This is GREAT software and a MUST have for any professional photographer. You only need it to happen once to have complete appreciation for this product!! Thank you Stellar for bringing my images back!!!

I learned a lesson about this topic the HARD way. I was fiddling around with my digicam on my family's very first cruise vacation and accidentally formatted the memory card. Knowing what I know NOW, I should have stopped using the card. But did I? NO!!!! I freaked out and immediately snapped some more shots, using the same card. I have tried about 8 different photo recovery programs and all I am able to see are the new pics I took. I'm just SICK over it.

My advice, if you think you've deleted your photos, or formatted your memory card, STOP using the card!!! Otherwise, you'll overwrite the photos you could probably recover.

Interesting though -- I took about 130 photos before formatting the card and only 26 after, so how can ALL the old pics be overwritten? I thought I'd be able to recover at least a few. I learned a hard lesson.
