Me Myself and I
My stuff from around the web. Wanted to grab "my monicker" former fat guy on squidoo before someone decided to squat on it.
Here are my blog posts, my links, my bookmarks and stuff
If you've been to my website's www.formerfatguy.com or www.formerfatguyblog.com you know my story. I once weighed 475 pounds then went on to drop 300 pounds of fat. Built an impressive 60 pounds of muscle since then.
What Would It Be Like To Have Your Dream Body?
how would your life change having your perfect physique?
What would it be like if you were suddenly in your best shape. You took the "magic pill" and all the fat dropped off over night and was replaced with the perfect amount of muscle? Just enough muscle to make you feel more comfortable in your own skin.
How would it change your life?
How would it make you feel?
What would you do differently? Or would it even change anything?
Imagine being able to do all the things that you've always wanted to do.. climbing mountains - pushing yourself to get to the top to enjoy the view and spending time with your kids on the trail and in nature.
Have you ever wanted to skydive? Being in your perfect shape, you'd be able to enjoy the thrill of flying through the air as free as a bird, and then piloting your very own canopy once deployed.
What about being able to fit comfortably into amusement park rides and spending the whole day at the park - walking around, doing the rides and experiencing the thrills of it all.
There is no "magic pill" for weight loss. It takes time, motivation, energy and commitment to learning about how the body works, what food to eat for fuel and doing a regular exercise program.
My favorite quote is "every good program requires a plan and sufficient time to implement"
Achieving your dream body doesn't happen over night. Months of dedication to learning about nutrition, health and exercise and then putting it into practice. Keep what works and discarding what doesn't work. Never saying "I know that", but rather researching different programs to keep yourself in the loop and then trying it to see if it works for you.
Tracking your progress, so you know if it's fat you're burning, or muscle. Knowing for sure that when the scale goes up, that it's muscle and not fat. Using the mirror and your clothes as indicators to your success, not the scale.
I've been there.
I know what it's like to grab a pillow and keeping it in front of me to hide my weight, or standing behind "the bar" so people wouldn't see my gut, or avoiding malls and shopping centers because I couldn't walk very far before being covered in sweat and just plain feeling uncomfortable.
On my blogs and websites, I've chronicled my research into this whole weight loss and exercise monster and have come to present to you all the natural health and weight loss techniques available to lose weight, get into shape and develop your dream body.

.... just how do you create a blog anyway?
while working with Peak Potentials on Core Team and building my online business on weekends between camps and courses (and on airplanes), many friends and co-Core Team staff kept asking "show me how to build a blog". I got so excited helping them that I decided to just write a book and a blog to show people just how to create a blog for themselves. These are the latest blurbs from my website
