Fort Lauderdale Concrete Restoration

In Fort Lauderdale concrete restoration is a major issue.  There are several contributing factors to this issue, but one of the most common problems people face are cracks.  No matter why the crack was initially created, the fact is they have to be repaired.

After you prepare by getting some gloves and eyewear, its time to begin your concrete restoration project.

First, using a hammer and chisel, you must get rid of the area of concrete that has been damaged.  Then, it's time to undercut the sides of the part that needs to be restored.  Make the bottom of the hole wider while avoiding doing the same to the top so the interior sides are moving inward as they go up.

Then clean the area of all debris and make sure it is moist. To do this, you can put some water inside the hole every few hours yourself, or you can allow water to slowly flow into the hole overnight.

The next step requires product. Make sure the cement is in more of a paste like form than a liquid by mixing it a little thick. (Generally 3 parts cement to 1 part water, or there about) and set this aside. Mix a little more cement, but a little thinner this time, while still thick enough to coat a surface and coat the inside edges of the hole. This part needs to be done as fast as possible, while still doing it properly. Now make sure the cement is applied before it dries.

Then, fill the hole using the cement paste you mixed. Let it set for a few hours after that. Then, begin curing the cement by covering it with plastic wrap and moistening it a few times daily over a seven day period.

In the matter of just a few days, your copncrete restoration project has been completed!
