Building forts
Fort Henry
Fort Henry, was originally built of logs and earth. It was extended and improved in 1814 and by 1820 it was the strongest fortress west of Quebec. Although the Americans never attacked Fort Henry during the War of 1812 it was an important stronghold needed to protect along the Great Lakes waterway.

- I have been to a couple of them - looking forward to going next year as it will be the 200th anniversary of the war - re-enactments and more to see!
