And it doesn't hurt that there are numerous water activities to entice almost anyone. There is deep-sea fishing, snorkeling, scuba diving, parasailing, kayaking, canoeing and of course boating.

If shopping is your thing, don't worry, there are plenty of wonderful stores over the water to shop at while your husband is occupied at the golf course and the kids are playing at the beautiful beachside parks or visiting a dolphin show or two.

Or if you'd prefer something that the entire family can really enjoy, why not take them to the Billy Bowlegs Pirate Festival where both children and adults can participate in their treasure hunting contests. There are also local musical shows, food, arts and crafts, fireworks, pirate vendors and more at the festival.
