How do I edit my forum signature?

Welcome to SquidU Forum!

If you're recently joined us at the SquidU Forum, you might be wondering, "How can I put a snazzy signature on my posts?"

Simple! By making a few quick edits to your forum account preferences, you can add your name and custom lens links to your signature, and they'll automatically appear at the bottom of each post you make.
Important!

Signatures are a great way to promote your favorite lenses, and remember to link with care. Too many outside links or blatant spam could get you blocked from SquidU.

First, log in to SquidU

You can log into SquidU Forum using your username and password.

Then visit the Profile tab

Then go to your Personality section

Then have fun entering your signature info!

The number of lines and characters allowed is subject to change. Use caution when filling your signature with links - it can appear spammy or junky. Pick a few favs and rotate them.

Use BBcode to jazz up your text!

[b]Bold text[/b] produces Bold text
[u]Underlined text[/u] produces Underlined text
[i]Italic text[/i] produces Italic text
[color=#FF0000]Red text[/color] produces Red text
[color=blue]Blue text[/color] produces Blue text

Add links to your signature

You can create links to other documents or to e-mail addresses using the following tags:

How do I add a graphic to my signature?

Sorry! Images can't be added to forum signatures, but you CAN place them in your forum posts.

Add a Forum Avatar

To add a photo of yourself to your forum profile, go back to the Personality tab of your Profile menu on SquidU. You can upload an image that is no larger than 60 x 60 pixels, and less than 10 kb.

And please keep it clean - all avatars must be G-rated.

A note about signatures

Just because you can make a long signature doesn't mean you should. Links to non-Squidoo sites or too many links looks spammy and could get your account reported. Keep it simple!
