I have been trying to get a crackle finish on a project I am working on and have not been able to get it right. Your tip about how not to go over the top paint coat twice is where I think I have been going wrong. I am going to try it today, thanks!!!

I haven't tried either of these techniques but did buy a paint that crackles when applied. It was a really cool effect for some bead board paneling that I did. Really gave it an old shabby look.
