It's really difficult to describe who is Francesca Dani, because she is everything she want to be.
She could be described as a netmodel: She studied as stylist in Tuscany and she appeared on many magazines. The cosplay has also brought her a lot of fandom, especially when she went to japan in 2005 and won along with 2 girls, the "best group award " at World Cosplay Summit.
She was already online from 1998, with a website she developed on her own, but the victory gave her even broader renown (you can see the youtue section for some of the live performances).
I've been lucky enough to chat with her some time ago, and the most amazing feature of francesca is her down to earth attitude: she is having fun doing what she likes most and she is totally aware of that. She is also extremely cute, but i doubt that you haven't noticed this feature.

- Do you have a favourite pet or should you get one ?
I've got 3 cats an a russian hamster. I'd like a chameleon but somebody told me "If you get another pet, you ought to live in the cellar".
- Freelance or Fixed Salary ?

- Would you describe your average week?
Work-home-work. You can't get a duller workweek as mine! Would you like to prove me wrong ? I get up at dawn and when i'm home i think about more projects. I have nearly no more time to "live". I often work saturday and sunday, so usually there's no time left for frivolous pastimes and entertainments in an "average week". I'm on the fast lane! And i say, fortunately!
- You manage your site and also prepare your costumes: how much time is need to create a gallery starting from the idea ?
I have to do everything every 6-7 days exactly: my updates are weekly so i must find the inner strenght and willpower to do everything within 6 days, like the Almighty. I'm just a tad more slacker than he was.
- what could you see for yourself during the nest 10 years ?
Emigrated in the USA in order to build a better future.
- Do you have some exhibition abroad in program ?
I only attend exhibition abroad.

In february i will be back to Mexico City like guest at the TNT GT2 (4 february - editor note) , then during the year i've been booked from Center to South America.
- Ok, last question: what do you expect from 2008 ?
I expect to fulfil a project i've been working on very hard and that will celebrate 10 years as coplayer and model. There's not much time left, the announcement will be in february!

There are a lot of people selling new handmade costumes on ebay, taken from the most famouse manga and anime! Of course if you wanna do something more "personal" you have to learn tailoring skills (or hire a grandma).

MisaMisa is one of my favourite characters from the manga "death note". Francesca does an incredible work cosplaying her! (even though in the manga misamisa has blond hair, in the movie of death note she is dark haired)
