American Visionary & Genius

Frank Lloyd Wright is one of those few geniuses who had a vision of the greatness of the human soul.  Integrating the wholeness of a human life, nature's landscapes, and an achingly painful beauty, to live in a Wright Way is to be at one with the  self, the planet, and human purpose.

To build a small  page about the greatness and work of the man is a challenging act of brevity.  I am working to build this page.  I  appreciate your patience.  Please leave your suggestions and comments below.

Under Construction

Building slowly, so to get it right!

In my estimation, I agree with Frank Lloyd Wright when he declared he was the greatest of all living architects.

While this page is currently very spare, it is because I am building the page and it is still under construction.

Please feel free to leave any comments or information that you think is significant to have here. In this way, I can build a relevant page and do honor to a true American genius!

Falllingwater- Best All Time Work of American Architecture

Most Acclaimed of all Wright's Architecture

An enormously beloved house, Wright integrated the wholeness of man and nature, the architecture and landscape becoming one.

With the reality of the broad expanses of American landscape and a particular vision of what it means to be a human being, Wright designed living spaces that integrates the human soul with the land we are to steward.

The human needs within living spaces are proven, by Wright, to harmoniously work within the provision of nature, not against it, and through his genius designed structures for the fullness of a human life.

Frank Lloyd Wright, Architect

Frank Lloyd Wright (born Frank Lincoln Wright, June 8, 1867 ? April 9, 1959) was an American architect, interior designer, writer and educator, who designed more than 1,000 projects, which resulted in more than 500 completed works.

Wright promoted organic architecture (exemplified by Fallingwater), was a leader of the Prairie School movement of architecture (exemplified by the Robie House and the Westcott House), and developed the concept of the Usonian home (exemplified by the Rosenbaum House). His work includes original and innovative examples of many different building types, including offices, churches, schools, sky scrapers, hotels, and museums. Wright also often designed many of the interior elements of his buildings, such as the furniture and stained glass.

Wright authored 20 books and many articles, and was a popular lecturer in the United States and in Europe. His colorful personal life often made headlines, most notably for the 1914 fire and murders at his Taliesin studio.

Already well-known during his lifetime, Wright was recognized in 1991 by the American Institute of Architects as "the greatest American architect of all time".
