Freddie Roach's Battle With Parkinson's Disease
Roach fights Parkinson's
Freddie Roach suffers from Parkinson's disease, the same debilitating condition that affects such other well known personalities as Michael J. Fox and Muhammad Ali. Parkinson's disease is a degenerative disorder of the central nervous system that often impairs the sufferer's motor skills, speech, and other functions. Those closest to Roach have noticed he seems to operate a bit slower and become winded more easily, yet Freddie's positive attitude and bright outlook help him pull through. There is no current cure for Parkinson's disease but medication and surgery can provide limited relief from the symptoms. Wild Card Boxing Club
