Fredericksburg Texas Entertainment
Fredericksburg Texas is just as well known for its rich musical history as for its status as a prominent tourist town. There are more than enough musical venues in Fredericksburg to keep one entertained, and an abundance of styles of music to match any person's tastes.
A rather unique music venue in Fredericksburg is the Rock Box theater, a professionally cast live music show that is a mixture of concert and theater and combines folk, country, blues, and 60s rock into a unique experience.
What makes famous Fredericksburg such a musical landmark is the influence of the great 1970s country stars that made Fredericksburg their backyard. Willie Nelson, Waylan Jennings, Jerry Jeff Walker, and, of course, Hondo Crouch, all left their mark on Fredericksburg. The best place to see a country music show is Hondo's On Main, a restaurant and bar dedicated to that country music legend.
But if you want to have more of a casual country night out, head over to Luchenbach. Take in some of the history of this little 'town' (population; 3), have a beer at the general store and post office, and then sit around and listen to some of the boys pick on their guitars. You might get lucky; every once in a while, some of the biggest names in country music stop by to have themselves a good time.
Everyone needs a place to sleep and a highly recommended Fredericksburg Texas Bed and Breakfast is Rose Hill Manor, a short 10 minute drive from downtown, with their upscale hill country restaurant Austin's, a European style of dining.
