Free Adverts

One of the things that seems to be taking the Internet by storm is Free Ads. These free ad sites let you advertise any internet site you like (provided it is G Rated). You can even use them to advertise your affiliates. You can post as many adverts to these sites as you have email addresses.

So what is the catch?

Well once they have your email address they will send you periodic emails advertising their affilites, no big deal there as you can delete them without even opening them. The second catch is that the site will only take so many adverts and then your advert is bumped off the list.

The way these sites make cash is through the owners affiliates and the hope that you will update your advert to a sponsored advert. If you think the idea of these sites is really good you could even own your own and have an extra income stream.

Once your advert is bumped off the bottom of the list you will receive an email to inform you as such and then you can either relist your advert or make a completely new one.

One other thing about these services. Once they have your link it is there for good (or at least until they clear out their database) so even if your advert isnt live you will still have an extra link to your website so you can use these free ads as a way of link building for your site.

Your advert will look similar to the ones below, so click on one (or all of them) and get posting your ads.

Tiny Url

Okay, now say you want to set up an ad campaign for your squidoo lenses but either:-

a) your url is too long

or

b) you don't want people to know they are being sent to squidoo until they get there.

What do you do? Well the answer is nice and simple you go to Tiny Url and convert your url into a shorter and more unrecognizable url.

Tiny Url is a nice service that will change your url into a smaller neater url using their redirecting service. It brags that your tiny url will never expire and will always work. Go check out the website and read up on it.

Tiny url can be used for:
  • URLs in emails (long URLs often break inside of emails)
  • hide affiliate codes in URLs
  • cleaner looking code especially if working with map urls or product item urls
  • cleaner bookmarks for favorites or social bookmarking
  • disguising destination of the url
