Best Free Autoresponders

Rather than just having a list of all the free autoresponder services out there I have tried to break it down into the different needs that an autoresponder must fill. This way I think that you should be able to find a service that fits you and your needs best.

These are the all-rounders, they can do everything. There are two major players in my mind that really stand out. Getresponse and Sendfree. This is where you find the real power of the autoresponder. Some of there uses include, newsletters, follow-ups, reviews, thank you's, e-books, reports, est. EST. The principle is that most people buy after 7 points of contact, its all about providing good content and resources to your customers and building up a trust relationship. The more you stay in contact with your potential and existing customers the better (without spamming of course). These two companies do it all from creating your opt-in forms to managing your list and creating and sending your messages. They both also have the option of upgrading to a full account when you outgrow your free one, this is great because remaking your whole campaign again is a nightmare. Creating an opt-in form to capture email adresses

This is the back bone of autoresponders, if you don't have any email addresses it really doesn't matter how good your messages are. The best services for creating opt-in forms just require you to add your text and images and then supply the script to paste on your web site (easy). There are many different types of opt-in forms, pop up, unblockables, hover est. It basically comes down to how aggressive you want to be and what style you prefer. This is very useful for when you are unavailable for a long amount of time or if you want to send out a FAQ reply (typically with an alternate email to answer more in depth questions). If you have a web address your web host normally supplies this option. The address of on your messages will probably look like this name@yourdomain.com this is a good professional looking reply.
