Okay, it might be a little presumptuous to say that Veremail is the "best autoresponder" on the net because who can really say what's the best. I have not seen, nor used, every autoresponder program on the internet, but out of the ones I have seen and used... none of them stand up to Veremail. In fact, it is hard to compare other autoresponders to Veremail because Veremail just out performs even the paid autoresponer pro versions that one can find out there.

But, again everyone has different criteria and expectations to consider something the best email automation system, so I will just tell you why I am so excited about this program, and why I consider Veremail the best free autoresponder on the internet!

Veremail: What is an autoresponder?

An Autoresponder is a simple tool that allows you to create a sequential set of emails in advance to respond to customers and interested prospects automatically.

Professional studies have found that it takes 5-7 or more advertizing exposures before a prospect will actually make a purchase. This is why autoresponders were created. Because chances are that you are not emailing your prospects nearly enough about your products/opportunity.

Email marketing is essential to the success of an online business, so the use of Autoresponders should not be underestimated. After all, if your business is receiving the amount of prospect/customer emails needed to sustain a successful online business, then there is not enough time in the day to answer all of them individually! That would just be too tiring and not a very productive use of your time.

Autoresponders and SPAM

The biggest problem with bulk email advertising is SPAM. What is SPAM? Wikipedia puts it this way:

"E-mail spam, also known as unsolicited bulk email (UBE) or unsolicited commercial email (UCE), is the practice of sending unwanted e-mail messages, frequently with commercial content, in large quantities to an indiscriminate set of recipients."

This practice is so bad, yet so common, that people do this without even knowing they are doing it!!!

For example, there is a big industry out on the internet today known as lead generation. The purpose of these lead generation sites are to collect leads(more specifically email addresses), so that they can sell these addresses to anyone willing to pay for them.

Now, I won't go into how disgusting and unethical this business practice is, but basically these companies claim to do the hardest part of your work for your business...Lead Capture. Note: The higher quality leads (more targeted leads) will always cost you more than the generic leads.

However, a lot of these "leads" were people who were just looking for some information about working from home, or starting a home based business. They signed an online form to get just that, but what do they get instead???

Well, these lead generation companies sell these email addresses 10's sometimes 100's of times over to eager IBO's and Business Affiliates, and in so doing, these poor people looking for information get inundated with emails about opportunities and programs that they have shown no interest in!!!!

If you ever wondered why some of these "leads" were hostile to you on the phone, then this is exactly why. This is indirectly endorsing SPAM!!

This is why I refuse to buy leads. If you are going to buy anything in your business, then Buy Customers...Not Leads.

So, the key to avoiding SPAM is verification. Again, if we look at the definition of SPAM, Wikipedia says it is an unsolicited commercial email.

No matter what autoresponder software you decide to use for your online business, make sure they have a verification process. Allow your potential customers and prospects to ask you for more information by giving you permission to email them more via a verification email first.

What Autoresponder do you use, and why do you like using it?

    Hi, I've been using Aweber for over a year, and not too happy because they don't allow Tell A Friend forms to encourage viral spreading, and their templates are filled with Latin words you have to tediously erase each time. I'm trying Constant Contact now--like their templates and Tell A Friend forms. Both autoresponders are $20 a month. Does Veremail have easy templates where I can upload a photo, and Tell A Friend forms attached? Thanks
