Free Budget

"There ain't no free lunch"

Free budget. , free budget tools, free budget worksheets, free budget templates, free budget software, and on and on. These are just some of the things that you will run across as you are looking for budgeting information on the Internet. They may all prove to be a benefit to you for developing your budget, but you must do the work yourself. No one will be able to do the work for you. They may be able to assist you and provide some guidelines, but you must do the job yourself. "There ain't no free lunch" when it comes to budgeting. There just isn't a free budget that is going to work for you. A good budget is an ongoing job that is tailored to your circumstances.

It is a job that I think you will find very rewarding. You've already taken the first step by realizing that something is wrong with your financial life. Everything else is secondary, even if it is useful, to that realization. That realization will allow you to learn everything that you need to know to develop a successful budget.

The concept of a budget is simple. I said simple not easy. The concept is to control your finances in a manner that you want. No one can make that determination for you. That is why there is no free budget. It is impossible for anyone other than you, to know what you want regarding your financial life.

Budgeting is simple also. All you have to do is follow certain specific steps, which others have taken, to gain control of your finances. The prime directive that you must accept is that you can not spend more than you make. This is a cardinal rule that is inviolate. Without this rule, nothing else stands.

The first step to a successful budget is determining what you want. This means that you must set goals. This is your plan. This is a framework upon which everything else hangs.

Once your plan is set or your goals established, you must see what you are doing currently. That means that you must account for every penny that you spend. How well you do this particular aspect will govern your analysis.

It is in the analysis, where you decide, if you are achieving what you would like. It is here where you can use the tracking to determine if the goals that you have established are being met. Remember, achieving your goals is what you want.

The final step in a good budget is adjusting your spending. After you have tracked your spending, and analyzed that spending you can then make the adjustments necessary to follow your plan and achieve your goals.

"There ain't no free budget. You have to work at it and for it, but the rewards and benefits will certainly make it worth your effort.
