Make your own torso

This is a great place to start when making clothes for yourself. You no longer have to worry about stabbing yourself with pins and allows for accurate shaping.
You will need:
A friend (someone you don't mind letting into your personal space!)
atleast 1 maybe 2 rolls of duct tape,
an old tee shirt,
some bin liners
and something to stuff it with at the end. I just used loads of plastic bags.

The trick is to use the tee-shirt as a base and just go round and round with the tape. The bin liner is great for adding a bit more stability to the layers but isn't necessary. There are loads of great tutorials on the internet for making your own dummy.

If, like me, you have trouble understanding exactly what you are supposed to be doing, then perhaps have a look at some of these for some guidance.
