I love to crochet. My favorite book on the subject is still, after all these years, The Adverturous Crocheter - I forget the author, but it taught me how to crochet using my own ideas, and it forever changed the way I looked at this amazing craft. I enjoyed reading this lens.

Teaching a leftie to crochet is easier than teaching them how to knit...I think. Might want to put in a dual about that...maybe. Nice idea to give away a pattern or two. 5*s

I'm so sorry your Grandmother wouldn't teach you cause you were left handed. I'm lefthanded too but my mom who was right start crocheting and looking in the mirror as she did it. The figured out how to teach me in reverse. I was about 6 year old. I have not crocheted anything in a while but I did like the dishcloth pattern above.

When my grandmother taught my sisters how to crochet, she refused to teach me. I'm left-handed and in her book, only right-handers could read a pattern and follow it correctly. I learned to crochet last year and I love it. I'll never be as good as my sisters but its still fun.
