Free Deep Link Promotion

'Deep linking, on the World Wide Web, is making a hyperlink that points to a specific page or image on another website, instead of that website's main or home page. Such links are called deep links.'

This lens will give you some good resources that allow submissions of deep links or sub pages. I have noted by some of the links if they require links back to the directory in question or if they require any other specific requirements so you can decide for yourself if you want to submit to them or not.

This lens is here to help you if you need it. Please don't feel that you have to use the resources within if you don't feel they would benefit you.

If you have trouble with any of these resources or discover they require payment, please let me know via the guestbook and I'll remove them from this lens.

Promotion is hard enough as it is, sometimes, without even more stumbling blocks appearing along the way. So, this lens aims to help you spend less of your valuable time searching for places to submit your lens link to and more time enjoying the fruits of your labour.

I've spent a lot of time lately submitting my lenses to Directories etc. only to find out after I've made the submission and placed the link that:

A) They don't accept Deep Links.
B) They accept Deep Links but that domain is already listed in the Directory.
C) They charge for the link.
D) It's the wrong directory for your link. E.g. the Directory states it's a Pet Directory but the link they provide for you to place on your site is for Dogs (your link, for example, is for Cats.)
E) There's an error on the submission form after you've filled in the form and placed the link (some don't allow the submission to be completed without that placed link.)
F) The link does not fit the criteria for the Directory.

Okay, that last one isn't anyone's fault but it's frustrating all the same especially when there doesn't seem to be a clear reason why the link shouldn't be accepted. I mean, it's ON topic! I'm very particular about where I submit my links and do not submit them anywhere that causes a doubt in my mind about acceptance. So, when I've taken the time to submit my site, I'm kind of annoyed when that time doesn't pay off in some way. Well, wouldn't you be? :)

Anyway, I'm going to do the hard work for you. In this lens you will find links and resources that allow free submissions of deep links or sub pages, so that all you have to do is bookmark this lens for future reference.

These directories allow all topics. Just search for the category that fits in with your lens and submit your link. I shall be trying these directories out over time and if they do not fit in with criteria for this lens they will be removed.

Yes, most of these directories require either a link back or registration but you have to ask yourself this: 'Is it really that much of a problem?'

Personally, I don't think it is; if it helps to get my site seen and read then I'm all for it but you, of course, could have a different opinion which is fine!
