Professional Ebook Cover Design at an Amateur (Free) Price - Photoshop Not Required

Let's face it some ebooks have a cover that sell better than a great copywriter, while other ebooks have covers that looks like your kid brother made them.

Create your own custom 3D ebook cover and give your ebook a professional look, for free!

That's right, FREE ebook covers without Photoshop, how do they do it?  I can see our painting friend is trying to figure it out.  He's a lovable little grouch isn't he?  But I digress, on to the story...

I Was Cruising Around an Internet Marketing Forum When I Saw the Post...

Did You Know You Can Make a Terrific Ebook Cover Without Photoshop?

Of course I clicked and read...

You need covers for your ebooks - but Photoshop is probably not your favorite program...

...and you want covers that look great but you may not care to pay the high prices of custom designed graphics...

That's ok - keep reading because I'm going to tell you about an easy way to create your own great looking ebook covers - without Photoshop - for only a dollar each - or even free.

"How To Create Ebook Covers Without Photoshop" shows you step-by-step how you can create your own ebook covers - without using Photoshop.

You'll learn how to create your own ebook covers that look great for only $1 each or even free.

You'll find out where to get the very simple to use software that I make my ecovers with - and it's free.

The covers for 3 PLR ebooks are used as examples and all 3 ebooks, the covers they came with and the new covers created for the examples are included. You are free to use the new ebook covers if you wish.

A 4th bonus ebook and cover is also included. It's a public domain ebook and did not come with any graphics but you are free to use the one I created and include with it.

I'm not very good at writing sales copy but I am good at describing how to do something so that it's easy to understand. Every detail is shown and explained and there's screenshots on every page to illustrate each step and every detail.

The posting was by Lynn from Web Graphics Guild. The ebook costs $7 but this is the smartest investment I ever bought.

As Lynn said she's not that into writing sales letters, so she offered the right to resell her ebook to some of her big fans (that's me). The $7 price is as low as it can be sold for. Note: You MUST have Windows to use the Free Ebook Covers without Photoshop ebook

And next I'll tell you about the ebook cover I made with this really cool technology! Read on....

Checkout the Free Ebook Cover I Made

Okay, so I have been dabbling creating websites, lenses, blogs with a bit of article-writing thrown in (just in case I had too much free time on my hands). And people kept saying, 'If you are too busy, outsource. Use PLR content.'

In case you don't know PLR stands for Private Label Rights, that means I can purchase something someone else has written and put my name (my private label) on it, edit it, etc and then sell it or use it as if I had written it all.

There are two problems with PLR -- you don't want to publish the same information as everyone else. Secondly, a lot of PLR is pretty boring and meaningless. You don't WANT to put your own name on it. And if you have to rewrite it, then how is this saving you time? Well, I spent some time working on it and I came up with a way to rewrite PLR for articles, blogs, etc in a time-efficient manner. So I wrote a short eReport (calling it an ebook seemed a bit much) outlining how I do this. I called the ebook, oops eReport, How to Change Chicken Shit (PLR) into Chicken Salad (Something People Want to Consume. Not everyone appreciated my title. It was at this exact moment that I found Lynn's ebook on creating free covers and I already had found sources for free graphics, so there's my cover. You can see it better full-size on the sales page. I was especially proud of the little chickens on the spine. You can add fun touches like that with this ebook and the free software that you'll download (the links to the free software are in the ebook).

End of story. You can create a custom ebook cover for free!

Latest and Greatest Ebook Cover Creator Software Arrives

While satisfied with my ebook covers, I decided to upgrade. Here's why...

I was happy creating ebook covers as described above, but... then along came an offer (for Ecover Creator - Ebook Cover Creator and More) that created not just ebook covers, but CD web images, and with cool shadowing too! Here is a sample of what you can make:

I couldn't resist. I purchased the software with the idea that I needed to redo the cover of my ebook from:
to something with a little more Pow!

I decided to evaluate both ways of creating an ebook cover.

Here is:
the cover made with Ebook Covers without Photoshop ebook method.

and here is
the cover made with Ecover Creator

Frankly, they are both an improvement on what I had. I decided the Ecover Creator software was worth $20 more, especially since I wanted the ability to create a CD image as well as an ebook cover.

What do you think?

Hey, I thought you said this was a FREE ebook cover creator, this stuff costs money...

Yes, this web page shows you two products, the one costs $7 and the other $27, which you can then use to create a free ebook cover. There is an upfront investment ($7 or $27) required.

After that, each ebook cover or CD cover image that you create will be totally free.

If you sell a single copy of your ebook, then you should recoup your cost immediately, right?

A Bit of Free Advice on Selling Ebooks

I haven't had time to make this change myself, but I've been told a lot of people do not want to buy 'ebooks'. They associate an 'ebook' as something someone threw together and that many ebooks have junky content.

So what do you sell, if not an ebook? Try 'a special report', 'a guide'.

And some marketers are finding they can charge MUCH more for the same information by calling it a course and emailing the information to purchasers in smaller units labelled "lessons". If you think you want that option, then you probably should purchase the ECover Creator and use a box shape, more like what I show here. By the way, the Dog Training Made Easy product does not exist, it was just a cover I threw together to show another example of Ecover Creator at work.
