We all have to insure the contents of our home whether its rented or we own it, but how many of you have a list of ownership so should the unthinkable happen you have knowledge of everything in your home and its value?

This is where the excel home inventory comes in as you can put the items you own by room in each sheet with its value and then look at the overall report on how much your property is worth.

This is a great way to ensure that what ever happens you know exactly what you own and can give the insurance company a full breakdown. Also should your home catch on fire you can keep a copy in your Email so you can pick it up anywhere!

P.S this home inventory runs with macros - if you open the spreadsheet and the buttons do not work then click tools / Macros / Security and set it to low or medium then save the spreadsheet and reopen for the buttons to work.
