So you want to earn extra money by trading the world's financial markets?

I've been on a mission to try and learn as much as i can about trading the financial markets, so i can boost my income. I'm a cautious investor, so i'm taking things one step at a time.

Anyway, i found this company based in the UK which offers free expert analysis of the financial markets, THREE times a day. I've been reading them consistently over the last year and they've really helped me to understand the nature of the financial markets.

They cover all the major political and economic news that influence the direction of stocks indices and share prices, from the Dow Jones in the US to the FTSE in the UK to the SSE Composite in China. Read these daily and you'll never miss a market-beat.

So whether you're a complete newcomer (like me) to the financial markets or an experienced trader, i think you'll find this page really beneficial.

Learn The Secrets of the Professionals

The foreign exchange market is the most exciting and the most popularly traded market in the world.

In April 2007 a report by the Bank for International Settlements estimated that the average daily turnover in global foreign exchange markets was $3.98 trillion - and growing.

Its prominence perhaps lies in its broad appeal and the number and diversity of participants it attracts; from the world's heavyweight commercial banks, hedge fund managers, right down to the individual.

Foreign exchange trading is also unique because it offers investors the chance to respond to short- and longer-term political events and economic cycles. Psychological forces play a major part in deciding the strength of a country's currency too.

Indeed, it is sometimes the human emotion involved when investors react to economic and political events that will influence the foreign exchange markets.

A good recent example of this would be when Gordon Brown announced the general election in the UK on 6 April.

Prior to the official announcement by Gordon Brown on 6 April, Labour and the Conservatives were neck and neck in the polls.

This had pretty much everyone - financial analysts, the voting public - worried about the prospects of a hung parliament and what it might mean for the struggling UK economy and the financial markets.

The situation has muddied considerably within the last few days as the leader of the Liberal Democrats Nick Clegg outperformed his rivals in the UK's first ever televised political debate between the three candidates.

One thing is for certain, as the balance of power oscillates between Labour, the Conservatives and the Liberal Democrats over the next few weeks you can expect increased volatility on the markets. What does the next few weeks hold for the UK and the pound?
If you want to learn more about how to take advantage of the foreign exchange markets there is a new book out by David Jones, Chief Market Strategist at financial spread bettors IG Index.
David Jones first became involved with foreign exchange and spread betting in 1995, going on to work as a currency technical analysis in the late 1990s covering a wide range of currency pairs. He has worked in the spread betting industry for the past six years and has been involved in client education, creating and running a series of workshops for beginners and professional investors alike.

In his new book, David Jones, now Chief Market Strategist at IG Index, reveals everything you need to know about spread betting the foreign exchange markets. It starts by covering the basics of spread betting and explains exactly why it has become such a popular method of trading a host of financial markets.

Next, he moves on to his specialist subject, the foreign exchange markets. Cutting through the jargon, he explains how they work, what makes currency prices move and how you can trade the foreign exchange markets by using financial spread betting.
Finally, some trading strategies are examined using approaches that you can put into practice straightaway using financial spread betting. He also discusses the importance of protecting your equity using risk management techniques.
