Garbage In = Garbage Out

What we put into our heads is exactly what we are going to get out. If we watch television shows that tell us how bad things are and the world is coming to an end we are likely to think and say that the world is coming to an end. If we watch films that each us how to live better lives and love others, we are more likely to live better lives and love others.

I became an affiliate with Simple Truths because I believe that we need to fill our minds with the good stuff and not the bad. (These Clips Are Free To watch) At the end they go directly to the Simple Truths website where you can buy books and learning material from them. You can watch all you want, show it to teammates or coworkers, and never have to buy anything.

Something About Ducks...

You Can't Send A Duck To Eagle SchoolI remember the first time I heard this expression. I don't think I understood it completely and the guy I was with didn't even hear it. I think it was Zig Ziglar who said it, but I am not sure.

When we want people to live up to our expectations and they don't, often times we just send them to more training or more schooling, and they never change. This video illustrate how important it is to hire people with the right mentality to begin with because there are certain traits you can't train.

Make The Difference

212 Degrees Makes The DifferenceMost people go through life just doing enough to get by. 212 degrees stands for doing that little extra to make the change. The only thing that separates those who do and those who don't is effort.

I know a guy who worked for four years trying to find his real calling. He tried several MLM companies, blogging, and coaching but nothing fit. But he kept on and finally found his calling teaching. Not doing it for the money, but doing it for love of making a difference. If he had quit and not given that little extra, he would have gone back to a job he never loved and would have never found his true calling.

The Rest Of Your Life

The DashThe Dash poem speaks of the little line between the birth date and date of death on a tombstone. It asks what are you going to do with the years you are given between those two dates. Are you going to squander them or use them to help others? Are you going to play and party or give back to society?

This video is very moving and very thought provoking. What will people say about the way you used your dash?
