Adding Flavor to Online Communication
When I started using instant messaging to spend time with my new boyfriend, in a bid to know him more, we ended up misunderstanding each other for the first couple of days. I used to think of the probable reasons for the same.
Later I found that when we are engaged in written informal communication, especially with strangers, we are not in a position to deliver our right message, as this type of communication inherently lacks emotions and tone. Thanks to those free emoticons, we can avoid many such misunderstandings now.
