Enjoy Your Stay in Myrtle Beach, Free!
Myrtle Beach, South Carolina is a great place to visit, summer or winter, because it's home to the Grand Strand, the Atlantic's fabulous sandy beach, plus it has tons of activities besides the beach! One of the best parts of Myrtle Beach is that many of the best activities are free. I live in Myrtle Beach, so let me give you a tour of the best free activities.

Free Myrtle Beach Activities
- Beach - The beach is, in my opinion, the best part of Myrtle Beach! The beaches are free and, except right downtown, the parking is also free. You can swim, bodysurf, sun yourself, build sand castles, catch blue crabs, and do some bikini watching, if that's your thing.
- Barefoot Landing - Barefoot Landing is located off of Highway 17 in North Myrtle Beach. It's a shopping mecca nd home to some great shows, plus it offers several interesting free activities. View the tigers, lions, and lion-tiger mix (liger) at the Big Cat Rescue. Window shop and view the birds, fish, and reptiles from the boardwalk that connects the parts of the complex. Sometimes there are parades and free fireworks, so check the schedule. Parking is free.
- Murrells Inlet Marsh Walk - As you travel south from Myrtle Beach on business 17, you'll enter Murrells Inlet. There is free parking for the Marsh Walk, which is a boardwalk running along the saltmarsh and restaurants of this interesting fishing village. Be sure to look for goats on the islands of the marsh. If you have a kayak or boat, this is a great launching site.
- Warbird Park - The free Warbird Park is "Dedicated to the men and women of the United States Air Force and their families who lived in our community for almost 40 years (1954-1993) while they served our country and courageously defended our freedom." An A-7 Corsair II and an F-100 Super Sabre are among the planes featured at the park, which is located by taking a right on Farrow Parkway west of Highway 17 in Myrtle Beach.

Visit Pawleys Island
Pawleys Island, just to the south of Myrtle Beach, offers the best beach in the area. You can enjoy the ocean surf and saltmarsh inlet in one great location.
