Finding sites to get free new music downloads is not difficult. There are many of them out there, and, of course, the quality varies.
Some free new music sites suffer from slow download speeds, no matter whether you have a broadband connection or not. The quality of the recording that is offered as a download on other free new music download sites is questionable.
In other words, in my experience, all free new music download sites are NOT the same, and I have tried quite a few.

Searching for free new music downloads, for example. I know in my mind what I expect free new music to be. First, free (obviously) then, new music.
I did NOT expect a search for free new music downloads to come up with Captain Beeefheart!
Brilliant though the Captain was, and superb as the recordings are, it was still not what I expected in a search for free new music!
Thai folk music that I can download gratis - yes, I would deem that to be a free new music download. The inestimable Ian Nagoski, likewise. Truly free new music.
But, The Ramones and The Damned? Free new music?? HOW?
They were never free, but they were new music!
Ah, well, just goes to show how little I know.
