Smilebox is a great service that allows you to send free multimedia photo greeting cards in which you can include one or more photos, videos, text and music.Smilebox provides the templates for cards, letters or scrapbooks and you simply upload the photos and create your text. You can also select music to add to your card or greeting. If you simply want to send your creations via email and you don't mind a few ads, the service is completely free. Or, if you prefer, you can pay a small fee ($1.99 per creation, $4.99 a month or $34.99 a year) for the option to make ad-free designs, get premium templates, and print your designs. This is one of my favorite services. It's free, easy to use, and just downright fun.

There's an amazing brand new service called PurpleHoot - what's so good about it is that it recreates the whole experience of sending and receiving a traditional card, plus a lot of nice customising tools.
