Not too long ago I was in your shoes, but didn't have much luck finding quality information that I could trust either. So I decided to start this lens at Squidoo to help others find a plan that's right for them. Keep reading to see what I discovered!
Free Portable Chicken Coop Plans Are Hard to Come By
There are millions of websites about plans for building chicken coops, but unfortunately free plans are sort of hard to come by. The few that I did manage to get a look at either weren't complete or weren't very clear or beginner friendly. They didn't offer any advice on what types of materials to use, the diagrams were hard to follow and the overall quality was poor.It's frustrating that there aren't many free portable chicken coop plans to begin with, but even more so that the ones that do exist aren't very useful!
The Trouble With Free Portable Chicken Coop Plans
- Was easy to read and understand for anyone, including beginners!
- Had complete instructions, including cross-sectional diagrams with exact dimensions.
- Wouldn't cost an arm and a leg by requiring expensive or hard to find materials.
- Would be easy to build with common household tools like a hammer, saw, screwdriver or drill.
- Would be a safe haven for my chickens, keeping them away from predators and other potential dangers.
Free Portable Chicken Coop Plans - The Best Of The Best!
Luckily I stumbled across a site called PortableChickenCoops.info that had a package of portable chicken coop plans and various accompanying guides for immediate download.
I will warn you that I didn't get them for free. I originally paid around $50 for these plans, but after looking through so many bad plans and not finding one that I was satisfied with, I was pretty happy to get my hands on this package of quality information. Especially once I saw how easy it would be to build a portable chicken coop on my own!
A Product Better Than Free Portable Chicken Coop Plans ?
Here's what I think...If you are good at do it yourself projects and have some previous experience with building things from scratch, you might have better luck than I did with a free plan. I admit, I don't know a lot about this kind of stuff and I'm sure that is partially clouding my judgement. If you want to give it a shot, the best free plan I found is located here.
