Are you looking for free printable fine motor practice sheets?
You are in the right place! Here is a collection of free fine motor practice sheets to help kids with autism gain better control over their writing and drawing skills! If their challenges are lack of coordination or muscle weakness or poor proprioception, or even all of those things, the best way to help them is to find a way to make it fun and encourage more practice!
This page is a collection of both my own free printable fine motor practice sheets and links to sites that also offer them- every site that I link to has been pre screened by ME. If a site causes a pop up or requires any paid memberships or purchases, it will NOT be included.
Occasionally I come across a site that offers free printables if the visitor signs up for a free newsletter or joins a club for free. If the site has a lot of great freebies, advice or support, I may include it here but the requirement will be noted in the description directly under the link. Other ways to help improve your child's fine motor skills
Free printables are definitely a great resource and are good to use frequently but it is important to remember that worksheets alone will not be enough to truly help any child with fine motor problems! If you have a child with serious fine motor problems, then occupational therapy is the best solution. Even with OT, extra practice is recommended so you should try to make it as fun as possible so that your child enjoys it and wants to succeed.
Not all children who need OT will get it. Insurance companies may refuse coverage stating that the child is "doing well enough" without it despite serious challenges, some are only permitted services for a year (if that long) and many families simply can't afford the massive co pays and deductible if they are even insured at all. If your child needs OT, see if your local school can assist at all- they must have an educational need to qualify, but if they are severely delayed, then it is extremely likely that they will qualify.
If your child is developing on target it is still important to challenge them!
