    Very good lens. I also use anonymous proxy with a Canadian product.

    Thanks for this important information Marc. Since I never use Internet Cafes or other public computers, I had no clue that there were any proxy services. It's good to know to help pass on to others that are using those services.

    Thanks for the info, Marc. Sometimes my IP gets caught up in a block of blocked IPs. It's then I must resort to proxies to get into my favorite websites.

    My Company uses monitoring software from spectorsoft which lets them detect not only the use of Proxy servers - but even if you search for one. Lots of schools are turning to high end web (and PC) monitoring tools like this.

    Proxies get a bad rap because they are often (mis)used to circumvent company security protocols.

    I use proxies for unblocking social networks like facebook and myspace if they are blocked. Otherwise I use proxies when i Google keywords I don't want them to trace back at me.
