If you are thinking of buying Registry Fix, you may want to first read this Registry Fix review. In this review, I will look at the good and the bad of Registry Fix. This review is adapted from the in-depth review you can find at Registry Fix Review

Registry Fix Review: Interface & easy of use

While the interface may not be the most important part of an registry repair tool, the ease of use of the system very important, especially for beginner computer users. Registry Fix offers a plain and simple interface, with the main functionality clearly highlighted, and the advanced features hidden away. The simple interface is also beneficial to those with slow computers, because it does not clog up your memory with unnecessary animations and graphics.

What I liked about Registry Fix's interface

  • Easy to use, especially for people who aren't necessarily expert computer users

  • Lightweight, doesn't hog computer resources

  • Fast and easy installation

What I didn't like about Registry Fix's interface

  • Isn't particularly attractive to the eye

  • The advanced options that are hidden away can be frustrating to expert computer users

Registry Fix Review: The scan and fix functionality

In terms of scanning and fixing errors within your registry, Registry Fix does a very good job. It allows you to scan your whole computer, or only focus on certain areas if you have an idea where the problems in your registry are.

On the other hand, the error reporting is somewhat lacking. The error reporting screen gives no indication of the severity of the errors, and it can be hard trying to figure out whether an error is worth removing.

What I liked about Registry Fix's scan and repair features

  • Very comprehensive scanning functionality

  • Ability to choose which areas to focus its scan on

What I did not like about Registry Fix's scan and repair features

  • Difficult to determine the severity of the problems that it has found

  • Registry scan can take longer than some of the other competing products

Registry Fix Review: Safety, help and support

A major plus in my book is that Registry Fix has a full registry backup and restore feature. In my mind, no registry repair tool should be without it. While I would have liked the ability to do automatic backup and restore, it is not that big of a problem if you just remember to do a backup before you do any major repairing. While Registry Fix does lack a comprehensive help function, it is made up for by the free live chat support, which should be enough for anything but the largest problems.

Registry Fix Review: Advanced features

Registry Fix does not contain a large amount of advanced features. This can be either a good or a bad thing. If you are an expert user, the lack of advanced features will probably make it more difficult for you.

On the other hand, if you are more of a beginner computer user, this is perfect, because Registry Fix focuses on fixing your registry, and does not distract you with tools that you would never use.

What I liked about Registry Fix's safety & support

  • Full backup and restore functionality

  • Free live chat support

What I didn't like about Registry Fix's safety & support

  • No automatic backup - need to remember to make backup before you do any major repair work

  • Help system does not contain detailed information regarding some of the advanced functionality

Overall

I found Registry Fix to be a very competent and comprehensive registry scan and repair tool.

It allows you to focus your registry scans, or just do a comprehensive scan of your whole computer. The interface is intuitive and simple, and provides you with access to its main features in a click or two. The lack of advanced features may put of some people, but if you are looking for a program to comprehensively scan and repair your Windows registry, I would definitely recommend it.
