Recycle and save money with Freecycle.org
You can get great deals on stuff and clean out your basement or garage without having to dump the stuff in a landfill. Contrary to what their name might imply, Freecycle.org does not give away free bicycles or motorcycles.
Here is an excerpt from their website:
"It's a grassroots and entirely nonprofit movement of people who are giving (& getting) stuff for free in their own towns. Each local group is moderated by a local volunteer (them's good people). Membership is free."
So whether you are looking to get rid of something or find a "treasure" you can do both (for free no less) at Freecycle.org.

- "The FreecycleFinder is a tool to help people browse Freecycle Posts. In order to post an item or respond to a post, you must be a member of a local Freecycle group. If you aren't yet a member of a Freecycle Group, go to Freecycle.org and find the group nearest you."
