    It works just fine but it sends from the Gmail account. I need it to send from my work account, which is how my Outlook is set up. How do you get it to send from the incoming (reply to) address?

    thanks for the info... it is pretty sad that outlook does not come free with win 7 home.... I use windows live mail... so far so good...

    Great Idea - pity that the maximum number of mails oyu can send thorugh Outlook Express is 100 then your accont goes OverQuota and ges disabled - for 24 hours.

    Nice.. but now ALL my outgoing mail has my gmail address as the "FROM" address.. and it shouldn't be that way.

    Very useful, thanks. The only think I'd like to remove is the 'sent via googlemail' that accompanies mail using smtp.gmail.com.

    Interesting info- I'm not "techie" so anything like this is great!

    I prefer just to send and receive email directly within Gmail. By the way, do you know about all the other great Good features. I especially like the Google Notebook for organizing all kinds of information.
