A Review of "Free to be Yourself"

"Free To Be Yourself" is the first book in a series of four books by Steve Goss which compliment the "Freedom in Christ" course. The other books are 'Win the Daily Battle', 'Break Free, Stay Free' and 'The YOU God Planned',

"Free to be Yourself" is an excellent book for all Christians who want to experience the freedom and joy that is available through a meaningful relationship with Jesus Christ. You do not need to be taking part in the Freedom of Christ course or even to read the other books to benefit from reading this book.

Who Is Steve Goss?

Steve Goss is the International Director of Freedom in Christ Ministries. He lives in Berkshire with his wife Zoƫ. He teamed up with Neil Anderson, an American Christian writer and Bible teacher, to co-author the Freedom in Christ course.

Chapter by Chapter

Free To Be Yourself is less than 100 pages long and can easily be read in an afternoon. However I would recommend a more leisurely reading with a pause between each chapter to consider the implications of what you have read.

These are the chapter headings:
  1. Be Who You Are
  2. Who You Were Meant To Be
  3. Who You Were When You Were Born
  4. How You Tried to Be You
  5. Who You Are Now
  6. Being Who You Are
  7. You Are Who You Are (Believe It or Not)
  8. Free to Be Me

The Freedom in Christ Course

Is there a course near you?

The course in run by churches throughout the US and the UK. It consists of 13 sessions which are geared toward helping you to understand fully the relationship that you have with the Lord.

No matter how long you have been a Christian, if you are able to find a course near you I would strongly encourage you to attend. This course has had a transforming effect on the lives of many Christians, including myself.

"Free To Be Yourself" compliments the first three sessions of the course (Part A), but can be read as a stand alone book.
  • Part A - Key Truths
  • Session 1: Where Did I Come From?
  • Session 2: Who Am I Now
  • Session 3: Choosing To Believe The Truth
  • Part B - The World, The Flesh And The Devil
  • Session 4: The World's View Of Truth
  • Session 5: Our Daily Choice
  • Session 6: Demolishing Strongholds
  • Session 7: The Battle For Our Minds
  • Part C - Breaking The Hold Of The Past

Having read this book I no longer feel that I must "act" like a Christian.
I can now relax and fully enjoy the relationship I have with my Saviour.
