- Poor Tony :( I cannot get my head around why anyone should consider it acceptable to do this to a Tiger. I hope that Tony gets his comparative "freedom" soon. Kudos to you for doing something to help him and other Big Cats.

- Thank you for a very educational (if not a bit heartbreaking) lens. I truly had never heard of this situation before I found you here on Squidoo (here's to yet ANOTHER reason why Squidoo is so awesome!). Please keep us updated!
I just saw Valeria's comment, just below mine, where "The Louisiana Dept of Wildlife will be deciding Tony's fate in just a few months..." How can such a thing take so long? Yikes...

- There is a new petition for Tony at: http://animals.change.org/petitions/view/urge_the_ldwf_not_to_renew_tiger_truck_stop_permit
The Louisiana Dept. of Wildlife will be deciding Tony's fate in just a few months. It is imperative that we get as many signatures as possible to send them the message that it is not right to exploit any animal like this.

I am sad by this story, and so happy that you are doing what you can to stand up for Tony the Tiger. Tony looks so sad in that cage.
I just hope that he is released to a safe home closer to an appropriate environment where he can be happy--very soon.
