Free Winter Princess Poncho Crochet Pattern

Materials:

12 oz. Red Heart Super Saver worsted weight yarn in Petal Pink
1 1.75 oz. skein Lion Brand Fun Fur Yarn in White
Size I (i) crochet hook
Size K crochet hook

Gauge: With size I (i) hook 2 rnds dc=1"

Pattern notes: dc inc=work 2 dc into 1 dc

Rnd 1 (neckline): With size I (i) hook and Petal Pink Yarn, ch 73, join w sl st in 1st ch to form ring, ch 3, dc in each ch around, join w sl st in top of ch 3 (73 dc).

Rnd 2: Ch 3, dc in each dc around, working 8 dc inc evenly spaced around, join as before (81 dc).

Rnd 3: Ch 3, dc in each dc around, working 9 dc inc evenly spaced around, join as before (90 dc).

Rnd 4: Ch 3, dc in each dc around, working 10 dc inc evenly spaced around, join as before (100 dc).

Rnd 5: Ch 3, dc in each dc around, working 11 dc inc evenly spaced around, join as before (111 dc).

Rnd 6: Ch 3, dc in each dc around, working 12 dc inc evenly spaced around, join as before (123 dc).

Rnd 7: Ch 3, dc in each dc around, working 13 dc inc evenly spaced around, join as before (136 dc).

Rnd 8: Ch 3, dc in each dc around, working 15 dc inc evenly spaced around, join as before (151 dc).

Rnds 9-12: Ch 3, dc in each dc around, join as before (151 dc).

Rnd 13: Ch 3, dc in each dc around, working 16 dc inc evenly spaced around, join as before (167 dc).

Rnds 14-33: Ch 3, dc in each dc around, join as before, fasten off after Rnd 33 (167 dc).

Rnd 34: With Size K hook and Fun Fur Yarn, join yarn in 1st dc of Rnd 33, ch 2, hdc in next dc and in each dc around, join w sl st in top of beg ch 2, fasten off (167 hdc).

Neck trim: Using size K hook and Fun Fur Yarn with right side of work facing you, join yarn w sl st in 1st free ch loop of Rnd 1, ch 2, hdc in next free ch loop and in each free ch loop around, join as before, fasten off (73 hdc).

Weave in ends.

Tip for Fun Fur Trim: Use the eye-end of a blunt yarn needle to pull out any fur stuck in the stitches. It takes only a few minutes and your fur will be much fluffier.

Drawstring: With Size K hook and Fun Fur yarn, make a ch 37" long, fasten off. Starting and ending at front center of poncho, weave ch through dcs of Rnd 1. Weave in ch ends.
