How I created my own website at www.SarasTextureCrafts.fusiveweb.co.uk

I started my business back in January 2007 and needed a website to support my eBay store, as an extra marketing tool. I browsed for ages on-line, looking for that easy-to-use and most importantly free website provider. I crawled through so many my head was beginning to hurt. Most talked about HTML and javascript and what were they to me?? Not even words in my dictionary! Until I stumbled across Fusiveweb...

Fusiveweb have a great choice of easy to use templates for web page layouts and quick add on modules from add your own picture, to a customer survey. All of these are editable at the click of a button and add a touch of professionalism to any first time website.

As a complete novice, Fusiveweb have provided me with extremely easy to use templates and on-line support at every stage. It's been a learning curve, I must admit but in February 2007 I opened my first website at www.SarasTextureCrafts.fusiveweb.co.uk

My top tips for planning your own website are:

1. Research your peer's websites - what do they look like and how easy are they to navigate?

2. Plan how many pages you need in your website and what each should say - try to be clear and informative. Maybe get a friend to read through it first?

3. Type out text in a text formatting progamme (Word) first, so that you can cut and paste during web creation and double check content.

4. Make sure your customer can contact you by providing all relevant information.

5. Make room for any advertising you wish to allow on your site, extra to the google ads.
